The library is home to thousands of books, eBooks and audiobooks, and subscribes to databases with current, reliable information.
The librarians can help you find the best resources for personal inquiry or a school project, and help you find information within those resources.
Fiction books (chapter books (F), picture/everybody books (E), early readers (ER)) are organized alphabetically by the author's last name. The first letter (prefix) indicates the section of the library (E - picture books). The three letters after the prefix are the first three letters of the author's last name. Nonfiction books have numbers followed by the first three letters of the author's last name.
Use the prefix 'cheat sheet' below to help you find where the book is located in the library. There are also guides at the end of each row of shelves. Use the signs around the library to help you. Certain prefixes (CHI, FR, SW for example) show that the book is written in a language other than English. If you are requesting books from the catalog online, make sure you speak the language indicated before placing your hold.
